between ‘500 and ‘600
Tivoli, Italy
2014
The project was realized at Villa D’Este in Tivoli, in the main rooms, connected through a suggestive main enfilade and that overlooks the famous gardens of the Villa.
The design concept wanted to preserve the main connection system as much as possible, leaving it free from any exhibition element, in this way visitor, in crossing succession of rooms, will always need to turn his gaze, leave the main path and decide to immerse himself in the exhibition space. The rooms were set up only on three sides in order to leave walls of the main enfilade completely free and determine an effect of immersion in the exhibition as one enters the room. The exhibition included a combination of paintings and clothes of the time, platforms and steps were installed in order to allow a clear reading of objects and make them dominant in the space.
